The X-Ray Tetra, scientifically known Pristella maxillaris, is a species in the Characidae family. It is a small freshwater fish with translucent skin and a silvery yellowish color. Its translucent skin allows its backbone to be seen very clearly. The unique visuals make it an excellent choice for community aquariums.
